Rosemary Cooper graduated from Farborough Technicall College in 1997 having qualified in an HND Science & Management of Health & Fitness. Rose first set out as an Fitness Instructor, also teaching aerobics, spinning, circuits, personal training within Spectrum Leisure Centre, Guildford whilst offering Sports Therapy at the Health & Fitness Suite. Rose then managed The Activzone gym at Guildford College 1998, keeping a balance with teaching the classes mentioned above, and finally set-up Optimum Fitness, Unisport, University of Surrey in 1999.
Optimum Fitness is an 'Sports Injury & Back Clinic' which treats many of the Athletes on campus, and staff also take advantage of the services offered. Rose recognises that Chiropractic, Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy all complement each other, Clients with an injury are often cross-referred within the Clinic and reach the maximum results, care and help.
Over the past year Rose has completed 'Intensive 5 day course in the Dysfunction of the Sacro-Illiac Joint' by Osteopath John Gibbons, Oxford University,' Core Stability and Gym Ball' by a Physiotherapist , and an 'Ultra Sound' refresher by Physique Management...
Rose is passionate about Sports Therapy, and enjoys working with the Public, 'It is so satisfying to help Clients recover from injury, albeit a Sports Injury or DIY accident!!' 'making a difference to people's health is priceless' 'I wouldn't want to do anything else'.
Running is one of Rose's favourite hobbies, and completed the Flora London Marathon in 2006. Rose will be involved in the 'Run-Fit' classes, and hopes to start up a 'Social Running Club' later this year - if you are interested please drop us a line...
